HSK (Chinese Proficiency Test)
The official test of Chinese language level, from level 1 (beginner) to level 6 (advanced).
Who needs it: Students applying to programs taught in Chinese. Most universities ask for HSK 4 or higher.

HSKK (HSK Speaking Test)
The speaking part of the Chinese test, with three levels: beginner, intermediate and advanced.
Who needs it: Some universities and scholarships ask for HSKK together with HSK.
Official website ↗CSCA (China Scholastic Competency Assessment)
A new entrance exam for international bachelor's applicants. Mathematics is required for everyone; Chinese, physics or chemistry may be required depending on the program. It can be taken online from home or at a test center, several times a year.
Who needs it: Most bachelor's applicants to universities in the Chinese Government Scholarship (CSC) program.
